MEETING OVERVIEW
On behalf of David Lawson, MD, course director, we are pleased to invite you to the Winship Cancer Institute 2016 Melanoma Conference, to be held in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 27, 2016.
This meeting will serve as a valuable forum for the presentation and discussion of newly available data. Participants will be provided with an update on practice-changing data in a practical and interactive format, fostering discussion and impacting clinical outcomes for patients with melanoma.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This live educational activity is specifically designed to address the educational needs of clinicians who manage melanoma and other skin malignancies.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After successful completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:
• Identify best practices for diagnosis and risk assessment during the diagnostic workup of melanoma, including the appropriate use of sentinel-node biopsy
• Recognize key features of uveal melanoma, along with the emerging treatment options and recent clinical trial data in this setting
• Outline treatment strategies for Merkel cell carcinoma
• Select patients for whom radiotherapy should be used alone or in combination with other therapeutic modalities
• Identify key data supporting systemic treatment options like immunotherapies and MAPK pathway inhibitors
