"For the Benefit of All" Researchers' and Investigators' Seminar
Meeting Host
Georgia CORE, GASCO, and Morehouse School of MedicineDescription
Brought to you by Georgia CORE, GASCO, and the Morehouse School of Medicine, "For the Benefit of All" is a one and one-half day seminar that gives health care providers new strategies and tools to enroll more patients from under-represented populations in cancer clinical research trials.
A lot of effort is placed on developing high-integrity cancer clinical trials; however, if diverse participants do not enroll or stay in particular clinical trials, the validity of the results and the promise of treatment are in question.
This seminar will help participants to:
- Design cancer clinical trials to serve people of different races, ethnicities, places of residence and socio-economic statuses;
- Communicate details of the trials so that all audiences understand how they work - and how they might benefit from them; and eliminate barriers that keep historically underrepresented groups from enrolling or staying in clinical trials.
This educational seminar is tailored to clinical trial managers, cancer researchers and physicians, "For the Benefit of All" builds on the dialogue held at the 2022 summit "Addressing Disparities in Cancer Clinical Trials."
